Hi, I’m Jenn Rodriguez.
I am a speech-language pathologist, certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed to practice in the state of New Jersey. I attended Kean University and graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders and Deafness with minors in Psychology and American Sign Language (ASL). I continued my education at Kean University where I graduated with my Master of Arts in Speech and Language Pathology.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with neurotypical and neurodivergent children and adolescents as well as with their families in private practice and school based settings. I have experience providing treatment related to augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), speech sound disorders, language disorders, and gestalt language processing.
As a neurodiversity-affirming therapist, I believe that every child’s communication style is valid and am committed to advocating, celebrating, and supporting each child’s unique strengths and differences. I do so by implementing a strengths-based and play-based therapy approach. This involves focusing on each individual’s inherent strengths and interests to make therapy engaging and effective. Utilizing child-led and play-based methods ensures that therapy is not only productive but also enjoyable, creating a positive and supportive environment for growth.
I prioritize establishing strong, trusting relationships with clients and their families. By fostering open communication and collaboration, I ensure that therapy aligns with each client’s unique goals and values. With a focus on inclusivity and respect for each individual’s communication journey, I am dedicated to helping clients thrive in their own way.
In my free time I enjoy reading, re-watching my favorite shows and movies, and playing board games with my fiancé, friends, and family.
