Hi, I’m Jackie Moore.
I am a speech-language pathologist. I have experience working with children and young adults in private practice and school-based settings. I graduated from Misericordia University with my bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and my Master of Science degree in speech-language pathology. I am certified by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and I am licensed to practice as a speech-language pathologist in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. I am also trained in the Natural Language Acquisition framework for gestalt language processing, which allows me to support children toward producing self-generated language.
I am a neurodiversity-affirming therapist, meaning I understand and appreciate the neurological differences in children and people and advocate that these differences are not something to be “fixed” or “changed” but instead celebrated. I follow a play-based and strengths-based therapy approach. I incorporate my speech and language goals into activities that are motivating and of interest to my patients, while also building on my patients’ strengths. I enjoy working closely with families to facilitate carryover and generalization of skills.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, trying out new recipes, and playing outside with my fur baby. In the summers, you can find me spending time on the beach at the Jersey shore.
